The paths of Guillena’s Ruta del Agua hosted the fifth Ruta del Agua-Guillena Mountain Running Championship last Sunday, with more than seventy school-age runners. It was the final event in the 2026 Seville School-age Mountain Running Cup and the western phase of the Interprovincial Cup.
There were races for every category: bebés, prebenjamines, benjamines, alevines, infantiles and cadetes. Sports councillor Manolo Vázquez took part in the prizegiving.
The event forms part of the fifth CxM CADEBA Sevilla Cup, organised by Club Hijos del Viento with support from the Town Council’s Sports department, the Andalusian Mountaineering Federation and the Andalusian regional government.
The final, in Córdoba
Andalusia’s best runners will compete on 8 November in Cerro Muriano (Córdoba), in the final phase of the interprovincial circuit.
