One hundred unemployed people in Carmona are taking part in the new Training and Employment plan, launched by the municipal Training and Employment department in partnership with Fomento Los Alcores.
The plan comprises seven courses with grants, each lasting 188 hours:
- Basic bricklaying operations.
- Gardening activities.
- Domestic plumbing and air conditioning.
- Cleaning surfaces and furniture.
- Children’s and youth activities.
- Social and healthcare support for dependent people.
- Altering and adapting textile and leather garments and items.
Students receive a grant during training, and the courses can help them obtain vocational qualifications.
European funding
The initiative is part of the “Carmona-Horizonte 2030” Integrated Action Plan. European Regional Development Fund resources co-finance 85% through Spain’s Multi-regional Programme 2021–2027, with the Town Council providing the remaining 15%.
